Porsche

On my 17th birthday, my Mom gave me her 1972 911T Targa Porsche. I love this car! It's been sitting in my parent's garage since I was in 2nd grade. Mom & Dad just enclosed their garage so it was time to find a new home for the car. So, James Allen, his brother in law, Ronnie, and Reese moved it last weekend to our garage.

James Allen and I are wanting to fix it up: put in a new engine, give it a new paint job & color, and lots of little things it needs. It will be so much fun once we get to start working on it! It's a super fast, awesome dream car! It's hard to believe when Mom used to take me to school in it in the 1st grade, I was so embarrassed! I would hide everyday so no one could see me! Now, Reese wants to drive it when he gets 16...um, probably not much! You know how 16 year old boys drive! I'm sure he will get to on special occasions only!

We celebrated with James Allen's family last weekend too! We took Reese to Lubbock for the day to shop & spend time with family. He picked Olive Garden to eat dinner.

Reese's Birthday

I cannot believe my little boy is 9 today! It's always fun to think back to that precious day: I remember waking up at 4:23am that morning, the morning after Easter Sunday, and knowing without a doubt that it was time!
As I woke my parents up, Mom got fully ready. I love my mother to death but anyone who really knows her, know she takes quite a while to get ready (but looks totally stunning, may I add)! Anyway, as we drove to Lubbock to the hospital (90 miles from Snyder) where I was having Reese, Mom drove 60mph (the nighttime speed limit at that time) the WHOLE Way! I clearly remember telling her, "Mom! The contractions are 3 minutes apart now! Can we please speed up a little!?!" Mom, always a follower of the rules said, "No honey, I can't speed!" So funny to look back on but at the time, I just wanted to get out of that car and get my pain meds!!!
We made it there in plenty of time, I finally had Reese @ 2:24pm that afternoon. What a beautiful baby he was!
We'll be celebrating all year long - this is Reese's last year to be a single digit! He's had a very fun day filled with surprises! And, it's like all of a sudden a huge amount of maturity has occurred. He has always been a very "adult-like" child but today he's been like a real little man! It's amazing how these things happen over night!
Now, as I am 8 months pregnant with my second child, I am looking back and anticipating my new delivery story! James Allen, Reese & I can't wait to meet our new little baby boy!

Jewelry Blog

One of the things I look forward to everyday is getting to sit down and come up with a new jewelry creation. Not that it happens everyday but I always look forward to getting a few free minutes to get to do that! My husband can tell you that is my passion, to create something I just know someone will Love as much as I do!
So, I started a jewelry blog for our jewelry line, Stormy Brooke Designs. We do one of a kind creations. We (my Mother and I) are always finding inspirations and creating new designs. We try to be different from everyone else out there.
On the blog I wanted to tell about where the inspiration came from for that particular piece. So, as we create new designs, I photograph them and blog about them. We also encourage people to go ahead and email us if they would like to purchase one of the items. We have taken our jewelry out of local stores (the only place we still have it is Head to Toe Massage Therapy) so this is the only place to purchase the items currently.
I would love it if you would check it out:

Made to be Pregnant!

I had a doctor's appointment this last Tuesday and our pregnancy is still going great! Although I am big it's hard to get real comfy these days I am really enjoying it! My weight gain and the measurements are right on with where I should be. He is a very active baby & just over the last few days he has started moving in ways I can't even describe! It is so funny - I just wish I could see what all he is doing in there! I could sit there all day and just watch my tummy move every which direction!
My doctor said I was "Made to be pregnant," because everything is just going perfect. This has James Allen a little nervous now when I kid around with him about it. I have been telling him I've just got to have baby after baby because I was just made to be this way :-) He doesn't think it is very funny, though!
We are still looking at delivering around June 20th... only 10 more weeks :-) We cannot wait until our sweet little man gets here!
