Our little Asher is now 10 days old! Today was our due date and we are so happy he has been in our presence for the last 10 days instead of having to wait until today!
After a seemingly short 9 months since James Allen and I found out we were pregnant, the time finally came. Our stay at the hospital was a great experience. During the delivery, although, things got a little scary for a few minutes...
Asher was turned facing my right instead of facing down. I had pushed for over an hour and was exhausted! The doctor then came in and saw the situation. The baby was far down but not making any more progress. Within seconds we had approx. 10 nurses and our doctor in the room ready to take action. C-Section was our next option but my wonderful doctor tried to suction him out and turn him at the same time and ...it Worked...Praise the Lord! We finally got to hear the cries of our little Asher!

This last week and a half has been filled with joy, blessings, and praise! James Allen & I are LOVING being new parents and big brother Reese is so proud of his little brother and very protective already!
These times are so precious and I don't want to miss a single minute of it! I know it will pass in the blink of an eye. I encourage everyone to watch the movie "The Ultimate Gift" and really think about how you spend your time and what takes priority in your life. We watched it just the other day and it has really changed the way I think about life, family, & friends. Life is so short here on Earth - let's all make the most of each & every day!
